Information Management module at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences

The Information Management module at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences was completed for this academic year.

Over the course of eight sessions, I had the opportunity to prepare and deliver lectures to three diverse groups across the Amsterdam and Apeldoorn campuses.

Throughout the module, we explored key concepts related to databases, IT infrastructure, computer networks, cybersecurity, and, most importantly, how to leverage AI, machinelearning, and deeplearning to gain a competitive advantage in business. We also discussed decision-making processes and various strategies to generate value at different stages of business processes.

Some of the key topics covered included:
๐Ÿ”น Business intelligence and how business analytics support decision-making
๐Ÿ”น The major capabilities of database management systems and their role in business success
๐Ÿ”น Designing databases and leveraging Big Data for improved performance
๐Ÿ”น Cybersecurity risks, hacking, and computing crime
๐Ÿ”น Business intelligence infrastructure and data quality assurance

I must admit that preparing these lectures took a considerable amount of time and effort, but it was absolutely worth it! The experience and the exchange with students are always enriching for both sides, making the journey truly rewarding.

I am grateful to my students for their engagement and to Wittenborg University for this opportunity. I hope my students gained valuable insights, and I look forward to the next time!
