We analyzed hyperspectral data from all cheese samples, applying diverse pretreatment and feature selection methods, and then training and validating both ML and chemometric models.
The findings showed that while ML models performed comparably to specialized chemometrics, this last approach provided greater transparency by identifying significant wavelengths, essential for understanding prediction outcomes.
Key wavelengths consistently highlighted across methods reveled insights into the variables most important for accurate predictions. 🌱🚀
